Stakeholder Communism - A documentary

Stakeholder Communism poster>
<p>This is how the concept of
"Stakeholder capitalism is defined as the form of capitalism where companies and their management seek sustainable and long-term value creation by taking into account the needs of all stakeholders and society as a whole - and thus not just the company's shareholders and closest stakeholders."

Stakeholder Capitalism has been promoted very strongly since the 70s by the largest conglomerates, authorities and NGOs as the appropriate response to the challenges of our modern global society.

We are in the middle of a process where the world community is transitioning to a new political and economic system. A system that the richest and most influential people in the world have come to an agreement on without it being put to a vote by the population.

The English documentary filmmaker Richard Jeff's reverses the terms in a 1 hr. 35 min. long documentary named Stakeholder Communism. He believes the model has more in common with the form of communism that unfolds in modern China than with capitalism.

The documentary takes a critical look at this new political and economic model, which is gradually being introduced in virtually all corners of our current society.

You can watch the documentary here:

If you want to hear a slightly more academic analysis of the Stakeholder model, I can highly recommend the James Lindsay podcast from 19 February 2024. The broadcast is based on a text from 2020 which deals with Stakeholder Capitalism and the accompanying regulatory system ESG which was published by Harvard University in 2020.
