Unity despite of disagreements
Hocus Pocus Party is an outdoor dance protest that takes place twice a month in central Copenhagen.
The event has grown out of the resistance to the Corona luckdown 2020 to 2022.
It was a way to get out, to party and to be in contact with each other at a time when the authorities were trying to prevent socializing.
As time has passed, the restrictions have been wound up, but Hocus Pocus Party has continued to exist as a gathering place for both Covid Dissidents and for people on the street who simply enjoy dancing and partying under the open sky.
After the corona restrictions were lifted, there is no clear focus point for the Covid Dissidents and it becomes clear that there are many things we do not agree upon.
Especially recently with the new government in the United States and a whole new policy from the United States Side has created great divide different attitudes. A split that lives not only among previous Covid Dissidents, but throughout the community.
Therefore, it seems that the big challenge of the time is to be able to find some kind of common footing, even though we do not agree in key areas.
Hocus Pocus Party gives a meeting place across attitudes. A place where it is the joy of moving with other people's. The joy of the existence of other people. The joy of stomping in the earth and feeling the heart beating in a non-committal community under the open sky.
It is not a matter of having to give up to have attitudes, or to influence each other's attitudes, but there is a need to practice an ability to accommodate opposite attitudes and yet experience a cohesion.
